About Us
Bio: Aaron Craig
Aaron Craig is the facilities director for Joshua House - overseeing maintenance and development of the physical side of the Joshua House building and grounds.
Aaron grew up in south-eastern Ohio and graduated from Cambridge High School. He went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Grove City College. It was there that Aaron met his lovely wife Kimberly. Also, while at Grove City, God connected Aaron with Jim Kilmartin and the vision that would become Joshua House. Following graduation from GCC in 2000, Aaron and Kim were married and moved to Tyrone.
"When I graduated from college, I had the opportunity to literally go almost anywhere in the world to pursue a job, but I knew that God had called me to Tyrone. Our heart, our desire has been (and still is) to be a blessing to this community, and in so doing, we have been so blessed!"
Aaron and Kim live in Tyrone with their three children (ages 6, 5, and 2). Aaron is employed with P. Joseph Lehman, Inc. of Hollidaysburg as a structural engineer where he spends most of his time designing bridges. He is also a certified bridge safety inspector and enjoys the occassional time out of the office in the beauty of rural central PA. Aaron is a member of the Tyrone Borough Zoning Hearing Board and is also currently participating in the Blair County Chamber of Commerce's leadership program ("Leadership Blair County").
Each year, as a part of the leadership training curriculum, the "Leadership Blair County" class selects and carries out a community service project. This year, Aaron is looking forward to the completion of the 2nd floor of the Joshua House facility as this year's class has adopted this project! Plans are being developed and work is underway to renovate the 2nd floor to allow Joshua House to better serve the community. Refer to the article on the renovations for details.
In his "free" time, Aaron enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and playing basketball.
A few closing thoughts from Aaron... "...I was raised in a good home, did well in sports and in school. God's blessing - from my parents and grandparents - was evident in my life. Not to my credit, but I am grateful for all of the ways that the Lord has blessed me throughout the years. For some, life has been difficult, for others, not so much, but no matter your circumstance, it is your relationships and your choices that determine what sort of person you are. I hope that our legacy in Tyrone and throughout the region will be one of significance - one of love, godliness, hope, and blessing. This is our aim; this is the reason we are here... to Love God, to Love people, to Make a difference."
